  • pounds sound, dry pumpkin, weighed after peeled, seeded and cut into pieces
  • 2 quarts (8 cups)

Method

  1. Place ingredients included in A in a deep kettle. Bring rapidly to a boil, cover, reduce heat to moderate and cook for 30 minutes. Drain thoroughly and mash.
  2. Stir in ingredients included in B, mixing well after each addition.
  3. In a frying pan, heat fat and drop mixture by spoonfuls to fry in shape of thin fritters. Fr
