  • 2 boxes (1 pound each) frozen strawberries
  • ¼ cup sugar

Method

  1. Thaw strawberries and drain well. Reserve strawberries. Mix drained liquid with sugar included in A, and boil over moderate heat for 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
  2. Meanwhile, trim edges from cake and divide cake into 10 slices. Arrange slices to cover bottom of a 12 x 7½ x 2-inch glass baking dish.
