Pastry for 1-crust pie

Method

  1. Dissolve cornstarch in part of the water. Blend in egg yolks. Add remaining water and rest of ingredients included in A. Strain into a saucepan. Add butter and cook slowly, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until mixture boils and thickens.
  2. Pour into baked pastry shell.
