  • 6 large ripe grapefruits

Method

  1. Peel carefully grapefruits, so as not to break the pulp. Slit pulp into 1½-inch wedges. Remove pulp wedges from grape-fruit and place in a pot, cover with water, and soak overnight. (Reserve inside of grapefruits for other use.)
  2. Drain and place in a pot, cover with water, and bring rapidly to a boil. Drain and cool slightly. R
