  • 1 large ripe orange
  • 1 bottle ( quart) dark Puerto Rican rum

Method

  1. Wash and scrub orange. Wipe dry, and with an icepick, pierce all over, deep into the orange.
  2. Place whole orange in a glass jar with a wide lid.
  3. Add the rock candy to the jar.
  4. Pour contents of the bottle of rum over the rock candy and cover tightly.
  5. Allow to stand for at least one month at room temperature.
