This is the first dessert recipe I ever memorized. It comes straight from the kitchen of Chef Rodger Bowser at Zingerman’s Deli in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I know we made a bunch of different versions, but the one I love best is peach and blueberry. Since those days, it has reigned supreme as a summer fruit dessert crowd-pleaser. Don’t skimp on the butter dots before baking or else Bowser will know and won’t hesitate to check that the kitchen isn’t out of butte
