These delicious sweet-salt eggs are popular ramen toppings, bringing richness, texture and protein to a bowl. Once marinated, they will keep for up to 5 days in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 150 ml/¼ pint/ cup dark s

Method

  1. Put the eggs in a small pan with cold water to cover. Place over a high heat and bring to a simmer. Once the water is simmering, set a timer and cook the eggs for 3 minutes (or a minute longer if the eggs are large). Drain immediately and put the eggs in a bowl of cold water.
