Tapas in Spain, petiscos in Brazil: the two have a lot in common. Venga is one of the few botequins that has embraced the spirit of Rio with a Spanish influence. Before it opened its doors in 2009, Fernando Kaplan, one of the partners, travelled to Spain to research the world of tapas, and the result is simply terrific: Spain on a plate as seen from Rio de Janeiro. The restaurant is charming, thanks to a world of bottles decorating the walls, and a set-up of bar tabl
