This is classic botequim food; you will see it all over the menus in Rio. I particularly enjoy the version served at Boteco Belmonte. You can prepare this recipe using canned or jarred hearts of palm, but it if you can find fresh hearts of palm, it’s even better. I love this soup because it’s healthy, earthy, creamy (without a lot of actual cream), easy to prepare and simply different. After making it once, I’m sure you’ll want to make it often, especially if you have a spare can of hearts
