Salada de frutas is another staple of carioca cuisine and is standard beach food. This recipe is inspired by a version I tried in Búzios and can be made with a variety of fruits. Use this recipe as a guideline; any melon, citrus or stone fruit can be added. I like to add honey because it dissolves nicely into the orange juice, but an equal amount of sugar will work as well.
