It’s hard to imagine a restaurant in Teresópolis serving food from the midwest of Brazil. But in Caldo da Piranha, Mr Ernani Antonio de Oliveira’s traditional restaurant established in 1994, this soup is a speciality. Though Mr Oliveira does not claim the creation of this recipe, his restaurant’s popularity was built upon it. Twenty-five years ago he caught and cooked the dangerous piranha fish for the first time on a t
