Ingredients

  • 1 Spanish onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 green pepper, finely chop

Method

Sauté chopped onion, garlic and green pepper in butter until lightly browned. Add tomatoes, tomato concentrate, red wine, lemon juice and sugar.

Bring sauce to a boil; simmer gently for 20 minutes; season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper, and add a dash of Tabasco. Serve hot
