Ingredients

  • 1 thick rump steak (2-2½ pounds)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

Method

Brush steak with olive oil, sprinkle with ½ clove garlic, finely chopped, and season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Allow steak to absorb these flavours for at least 1 hour. Grill until medium rare.

A few minutes before the steak is done, sauté sliced mushrooms in butter
