    Method

    Wash and trim beans; break them into sections about 1 inch long. Heat oil or lard in a wok or frying pan; add beans and cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

    Add salt and water; cover pan and cook beans for 3 minutes. Remove cover and simmer, stirring from time to time, until all the water has evaporated - about 5 minutes. Add soy sauce, cake or dry sher
