Vol-au-Vent Case

• 1 recipe puff pastry
• butter
• water
• beaten egg

Cut a circle 8 inches in diameter out of a sheet of cardboard to use as a pattern for making a vol-au-vent case of puff pastry.

Place the pattern on puff pastry which you have rolled out ¼ inch thick. Cut round the pattern with a sharp, pointed knife. Place the circle of dough on a butte
