  • ¼ pound butter
  • ½ pound sugar
  • 2 ounces

Method

Cream butter and beat in sugar, chocolate, vanilla extract and eggs. Sift flour and cornflour with salt and baking powder. Add to first mixture alternately with milk. Spread in shallow pan or two 9-inch layer cake tins. Bake about 30 minutes in a slow oven (350°F
