Basic Butter Icing

  • 6 ounces butter
  • ½ pound icing sugar
  • vanilla, rum, ma


Place butter in a mixing bowl and beat with a wooden spoon or spatula until it is like whipped cream. Sieve sugar, and blend it gradually into the creamed butter. Add flavouring of your choice - vanilla, rum, Maraschino, Curaçao, or any of the other below, and the icing is ready for use.
