Most folks associate a vegetable slaw with summertime picnics and barbecues. I happen to think of it as a refreshing salad or accompaniment in the winter, especially with all of the seasonal varieties of citrus in the market. This slaw would be a delightful accent to crab cakes or salmon cakes. It would also be good alongside a fish or shrimp dish or grilled or roast pork tenderloin.
