Here’s a terrific spin on traditional tuna salad. Black radishes have a sharp, distinctive taste that livens up the flavor of tuna salad and gives it a nice crunch in place of the usual chopped celery. They have a lower water content than red radishes (or celery, for that matter), so the tuna salad won’t “weep” if made a day in advance. Instead of making sandwiches, you can serve a scoop of the tuna salad on a bed of lettuce leaves and tomato slices, or use it as a topping for crostini.
