Here, I have given a traditional food an interesting cultural twist. The ingredients—chipotle chile powder, lime juice, honey—reflect the flavors of Southwestern cuisine. This recipe is terrific for the Thanksgiving table or for any fall or wintertime meal.


  • 4 lb/1.8 kg. medium sweet potatoes, peeled, halved crosswise, and then cut into ½-in/12-mm wedges
