Basic and delicious—that’s the beauty of these lovely roasted turnips. Serve them as an alternative to potatoes to accompany a braised beef or pork dish. They would also complement a roast chicken and can be scattered around the bottom of the roasting pan. To ensure the chicken is fully roasted yet the turnips don’t overcook, add the turnips to the roasting pan about 15 minutes after you begin roasting the chicken.
