This is a good sauce to drizzle over grilled vegetables or meat, or even hard-boiled eggs. And it is also great in a salad made with cold soba noodles.


  • 3 green garlic stalks
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green Thai chiles<


Preheat the grill to high and brush the grates with a little oil. Rinse the green garlic under cold running water and trim off any damaged or dried ends on the green stalks. Pat dry with paper towels and brush the stalks with the vegetable oil. Place the garlic stalks on the hot grill for 4 to 5 minutes, flipping them over when they acquire deep grill marks and a nice char. The roots will turn
