Lulos* are my youngest daughter Daniela’s favorite fruit. Their taste is somewhat acid and therefore great for juices as well as desserts and chutneys.


  • 1 large lulo* (about cup) or 2 small lulos*
  • tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup crushed ice


  1. Peel and quarter the lulos. Place in a blender with ½ cup of water and the sugar. Blend.
  2. Add the ice, blend, and serve immediately.
