I love making this recipe . . . when I need to take a moment. You’d be surprised how much comfort a mug of hot chocolate can bring.


Whole milk 7 cups


  1. Bring the milk to a boil in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  2. Combine the chocolate and cocoa paste in a medium heatproof bowl. Pour the hot milk over them and let stand for 30 seconds.*
  3. Whisk the chocolate, cocoa paste and milk, scraping the bottom of the bowl where the chocolate tends to settle.
