A malum is a cooked salad which usually consists of green leafy vegetables or herbs plus anything from banana blossom to green jakfruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch flat-leaf (Italian) parsley, leaves picked and finely chopped
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • 1

Method

Place all the ingredients except the lime juice in a saucepan and stir over medium heat for 4 minutes or until just warm. It is important to keep the bright green colour in the leafy ingredients.

Remove from the heat, stir in the lime juice and season to taste with salt.
