Spiced Cassava

You may have these seen large, dark brown, root-like vegetables at larger supermarkets in the UK and wondered what they were or what to do with them. You may be more familiar with the starch extracted from them which is called tapioca. However, cassava is a major food crop in Africa and South America and also eaten in India, especially in the south. In Kerala, they are known as kappa and this local recipe is called kappa puzhukku. Cassava were thought of as poor man’s food but
