  • 4 oranges
  • Salt and red pepper flakes to taste
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or more to taste


Peel the oranges, cut them into a bowl in chunks, season them with salt and pepper, and drizzle with olive oil. Mix well before spooning into the serving bowl or platter. Use a little more olive oil if you would like to try the time-honored custom of dipping a good piece of bread in the salad juices.
