Peel the onion and garlic, and finely chop them separately.
Prick the sausages in several places to keep them from bursting open while cooking.
Melt the butter in a frying pan. When hot, add the sausages and onion, and brown over moderate heat for about 10 minutes. Add the garlic and white wine, stirring to detach any juices stuck to the bottom of the pan. Cook 5 to 8 minutes mo
