In France, lait de poule (“hen’s milk,” if literally translated) is said to be very good for you if you have a bad cold or the flu.
At least one hour ahead of time, take the eggs and the milk out of the refrigerator.
Place the egg yolks and sugar in a mixing bowl and whisk lightly to combine. Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan, then remove from the heat and wait for 5 minutes before adding it to the egg yolks. Whisk in the hot milk little by little, then pour into the mugs or bowls and serve immediately.
