Method

Put in a basin half a pound of flour, a quarter of a pound of crystallised sugar, a quarter of a pound of brown honey, a tea-spoonful of bicarbonate of soda, a pinch of caraway seed powder, and a pinch of ginger powder. Add a teacupful of boiling water and mix well. To be cooked in a moderate oven for about one hour and a half in buttered tins with the lid on. Old cigarette boxes (50 or 100 size) would serve the purpose.
