When we were young, Mum only ever made us crepes (or pancakes as we call them) on Shrove Tuesday. To be fed pancakes for dinner, even if it was just once a year, was such a treat! I would have condensed milk drizzled over mine! Even now, the slightest taste of condensed milk takes me back to childhood in a flash.
