  • About

This recipe comes from the Bohemian Café, a Eurocentric family restaurant that helped put Omaha, Nebraska, on the culinary map. Its take on a classic Czech soup uses chicken livers instead of the more traditional beef, and bread crumbs made from kaiser rolls serve as the base for the dumplings.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb. kaiser rolls (about 3), thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

Method

  1. Heat oven to 325°F. Spread sliced rolls in single layers on 2 baking sheets and bake until slightly dry, about 12 minutes.
