George Pyne’s Bourbon Pound Cake

Friends of the Eno River, in Durham County, North Carolina, still miss George Pyne, a passionate advocate for returning the river to its natural splendor. Not only did he devote time and energy to protecting the river, he also put his signature bourbon-kissed pound cake out there on the front lines, energizing his fellow Eno-philes at potlucks, fund-raisers, and the annual feast at which the latest Eno calendar was unveiled. His son Milo Pyne shared this re
