Toasted Flour Soup

When you live on a farm, sometimes you have to make do with what you have. This is a poor man’s soup, composed of nothing more than flour, fat, chicken stock, and seasoning, served with toasted bread. I include it here because we scarcely think to make a soup with such simple ingredients, and yet the simple flavors of toasted flour make this surprisingly satisfying and comforting.
