I love these for the childhood memories they evoke, with the simple smell of butter and sugar. I love opening a tin of them and taking in the aroma. These are also so easy to make. I find that they’re best when they’ve aged a couple days in an airtight container.
Mix the flour, baking powder, and granulated sugar together in a mixing bowl. Add the yolks, milk, vanilla sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until you have a smooth dough. Flatten it out so that it’s easier to roll out, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate overnight.
