To devil something is a very English way of saying add spice and heat’: if the end product doesn’t make your nose sweat then you’re not doing it right! This devilling sauce works well with many different kinds of grilled or fried meat and fish. Try spooning it over a whole mackerel before grilling, or marinating a chicken breast in it overnight then pan-frying. It keeps well in the fridge for afew days, so experiment at your leisure.
