When I was growing up, Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Parlor was the pièce de résistance in cool dessert spots. My dad always let us get a triple scoop, which felt very indulgent, and my brothers and I, after much deliberation, almost always chose the same flavors every time. I loved Nutty Coconut: a creamy vanilla-coconut custard chock-full of walnuts, pecans, and almonds, and more flaked coconut.
