If you are going to the trouble of making pie, why make only one when it’s just as easy to make two? I love apple crumble pie, and the more sweet, buttery crumble, the better. A mixture of Granny Smith and Golden Delicious apples makes a delicious bubbling filling with just the right tasty combination of tart and tender. I think clear glass pie pans are better than metal or ceramic pans—the crust seems to stay crisper, and it is much easier to gauge how well it is browning just by looking,
