  • About

Currywurst, created in 1949 at a street-food booth in Berlin, is one of the most iconic fast-food snacks in Germany. It is prepared at street-food stands by pouring seasoned curry ketchup over a grilled and sliced bratwurst, or by sprinkling plain ketchup with curry powder, and serving it with soft bread or French fries. This recipe was provided by Chef Chris Dunn, a freelance food writer in San Antonio, Texas, who has done extensive research on currywurst.
