This is a classic Italian hors d’oeuvre, and can be eked out, by the addition of slices of tomato and hard-boiled egg, to make a good lunch or a light supper dish.

Rinse and drain the beans thoroughly and put in a bowl with the tuna, garlic and onion.

Shake the dressing ingredients together in a screw-top jar, or whisk together in a bowl, and pour over the salad. Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding a little more oil if it is too sharp, and serve at r
