  • 250 g (8 oz) spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil</

Method

Bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to the boil and add the spaghetti. Follow packet instructions and cook for 10-12 minutes or until al dente (tender but with a slight bite to it). Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a frying-pan and add the garlic. Fry gently until lightly browned, then scoop out and discard. Add the bacon to the pan and cook over a high heat for 1-2 minutes or
