This is the delicious fried cinnamon bread I had every morning at breakfast when I stayed with Mohamed and Ruth Bari in their home in Casablanca.

Ingredients

  • ½ loaf French bread
  • 1–2 eggs
  • 250 ml/8

Method

  1. Cut French bread in half lengthways, then cut each half into 10 cm/4 inch segments.
  2. In a shallow bowl, beat eggs until well mixed, then add milk, salt and vanilla essence
