  • About

This snack is often made during the Tibetan New Year. Sesame seeds are not native to Tibet, but they are used in Chinese cookery and are now widely available on the plateau. Yeshi says that he often had his eye on the sesame snacks that you could buy in convenience stores in town, but his family didn’t trust anything ready-made and insisted on preparing their own. They are simple to make.
