A popular way to make green beans, or fasolia, is with the addition of ginger and tomato, which creates a unique and flavorful dish.

Ingredients

  • ¾ pound green beans, trimmed and halved
  • ½ onion, thinly sliced into half-moons (1 cup)

Method

Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the green beans, decrease the heat to medium, and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain.
