  • About

This recipe makes a delicate wafer reminiscent of old-fashioned ice cream cones. Served with fruit jellies or jam, the stack of wafers made an appealing and highly decorative sideboard dish for Christmas and New Years buffets, as shown

Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • cups superfine sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalt

Method

Cream the eggs and sugar. Add the melted butter and beat until smooth. Gradually sift in the flour, a little at a time, alternating with 2 tablespoons of water or rosewater. This will form a soft dough.
