  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar

Method

Cream the butter and sugar. Beat the eggs to a froth and combine with the sugar mixture. Add the cream and vanilla. Sift the flour and baking powder together twice, then sift into the batter. Work this into a dough, cover, and rest it in the refrigerator for 1 hour before baking.

Preheat the oven to 350°F
