This is my great-aunt Simone’s version of an old and well-loved dish, Tarte au Citron. I love it: the creamy filling has an intense, sunny flavour, and I like it best in winter, when I eat it to counteract seasonal blues. It’s one of Anouchka’s favourite desserts, too, and it’s easy enough to make that she can help me. I have to watch her carefully, though – she eats the lemons when I’m not looking!
