Chaat masala is a salty, tangy seasoning used in popular snacks such as bhel puri. It can be tossed through dry snack mixes or sprinkled onto fruit and vegetables as a seasoning.
Place a small frying pan over low heat and dry-roast the coriander seeds until aromatic. Remove from the pan and dry-roast the cumin seeds, then separately, the ajowan. Grind the roasted mixture to a fine powder with the other ingredients, using a spice grinder or pestle and mortar. Store in an airtight container.
