These evolved from a cupboard raid during the first Covid lockdown when supplies were short, and we couldn’t just nip out to the shops on a whim. After much experimentation, this was the winning combination: toasty oats for a flapjack feel, cornflakes for the cereal taste and crunch, alongside popcorn for salty, sweet, chewy hits. These bars have been declared delicious and are made on repeat. I urge you to make a batch for the week ahead and hand them out to friends and colleagues.
