Tomato Aachari Polenta Tart

Aachar is the Hindi word for Indian pickles; aachari in this recipe refers to the pickling spices used in their preparation (see Cauliflower Aachar, to get a sense of how they’re different from European-style pickles). In this tart, those spices complement the flavor of ripe summer tomatoes.
